Our questioning began with the synthesis of the place, the idea of ​​this place. Castets-en-Dorthe, as a meeting point between the Garonne and the Lateral Canal is the subject of a delicate balance of constant tension. This is what makes it a landscape of exciting spaces, but very fragmented, very close, but separate.

 

To solve this dilemma, it is necessary to bring together these experiences through an adhesive idea. Apprehension, creation and contemplation will emerge naturally and spontaneously through our intervention.

 

So, by seeking and choosing a principle axe capable of connecting everything, by simplicity, the architecture emerges from the landscape. A work of translation of the contextual circumstances was carried out.

 

Finally, the spaces of creation, exhibition as well as multiple walking paths are to intervene conceptually to the whole idea of ​​what Castets-en-Dorthe is. By playing with its content from the start, it would no longer be a place to visit but a place to stay, to create, to watch, to think and to find oneself.
